Rate, rank and discover music with friends
Rankd is a free music rating app for iPhone. Here’s everything it does — and what you need to get started.
Rate songs and albums
Rate the albums and songs you listen to in half stars, or switch to a 0–100 score in Settings. Rate a whole album and every track on it, change your mind whenever you like, and keep track of the music that stands out.
Your ratings build your Rankd profile — a home for your taste that friends can see and compare with their own.
Rank music in lists
Make ranked lists — favourite albums, songs of the year, hidden gems, essential listens — and drag them into order. Keep a list private or make it public, where it can appear in Discover and on your profile, and share it with a link anyone can open.
Discover new music
Explore artists, albums, songs and new releases. Watch music videos right from artist pages, and see upcoming concerts from the artists you love near you. Music information comes from Apple Music, and you don’t need a subscription to browse, rate and preview.
Compare your taste
Taste Match shows how closely your ratings line up with a friend’s — the music you both love and your biggest disagreement. Share a match to see who else you click with.
Listen together on Rankd Live
Rankd Live holds listening parties for new releases: get a reminder, count down together, and chat as the album plays.
Your month in music
On the 1st of every month, Rankd writes a Monthly Recap of what you rated the month before — your top album and artist and how many ratings you made — ready to share.
Rankd on the web
Rankd Web is the same Rankd in any browser: your For You and Following feeds, posts and polls, ratings and reviews, lists, lyrics, notifications and Rankd+ — on the same account as your iPhone.
Signing in takes a second: scan the QR code on the sign-in page with your iPhone, approve it in Rankd, and the browser is signed in as you. You can also sign in with email, Google or Discord.
What you need
An iPhone running iOS 26 or later. Rankd is free to download and use; ads keep it free. An Apple Music subscription is optional — with one, you can also play full songs and add music to your library. Questions? See Rankd support.
Follow friends and join the conversation
Follow other music fans and artists, read what people really think, and comment, react and post GIFs when words aren’t enough. You can report or block anyone, and blocking hides their content from you straight away.
