Frequently asked questions
How do I rate an album or song?
Open any album or song and tap the rating tile (or Rate in the menu). You can rate the whole album and each individual track. Your rating style — stars or a 0–100 score — can be changed in Settings.
How do I make a list public?
Create a list from the Lists tab, then set its visibility to Public. Public lists appear in Discover and on your profile and can be shared; private lists stay visible only to you.
How do I share a review, list or Taste Match?
Tap Share on a review, album, list, profile or Taste Match. You can send a card with a link, customise the card, copy the link or show a QR code. Anyone with Rankd opens it straight in the app.
Do I need an Apple Music subscription?
No. You can browse, rate and preview music without one. With Apple Music, full-length playback and adding to your library are available too. Catalogue content is provided by Apple Music.
How do I export or delete my data?
Go to Settings → Privacy to export a copy of your data. To remove everything, use Settings → Account → Delete Account — this permanently deletes your account and your public content from Rankd.
How do I report or block someone?
Tap the … menu on any profile, review, comment or list and choose Report or Block. Reports go to our moderation team, and blocking hides that person’s content from you immediately.
Why am I seeing ads, and can I turn off tracking?
Ads (via Google AdMob) keep Rankd free. If you decline tracking you still see ads, just non-personalised ones. Change your choice any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Notifications aren’t arriving
Check notifications are on in iOS Settings → Rankd → Notifications and that you’re signed in to iCloud — Rankd’s social features use it. Choose which notifications you get in Settings → Notifications in the app.
Rankd isn’t available in my country
Rankd is rolling out region by region. If the App Store says it isn’t available where you are, it’s on the way — join the Discord to hear when it lands.
Privacy requests
For data access, correction or deletion requests, email support@rankdmusic.app. You can also delete your account yourself in Settings → Account. Read the privacy policy for how Rankd handles your data.
